When a leadership position is temporarily vacant, a team needs additional guidance or operations are under pressure. Also when change, integration or implementation requires clear coordination while day-to-day work must continue.

The first step is to understand the situation: which decisions are missing, where are the dependencies and what does the team need to do its work well? This distinguishes the visible bottleneck from the underlying cause.

I combine more than two decades of insurance knowledge with experience in leadership, consultancy, projects and change. This lets me move between a specialist insurance issue, process design and responsibilities within a team.

An assignment may involve interim leadership or management, team leadership, consultancy or project management. The exact authority and responsibilities are agreed in advance; a job title does not replace those agreements.

I start by structuring the facts, objectives and priorities. We then make the approach actionable: clear ownership, realistic steps and progress agreements. Where needed, I contribute directly, guide staff and connect the parties involved.

We focus on tangible progress and discuss deviations promptly. Not every problem needs a new project; sometimes a clear decision, better allocation of work or removal of an unnecessary step is the strongest solution.

A workable operation, clarity about responsibilities and a handover that enables the team to move forward. At the start, we agree on what success means for the assignment and which conditions are required.
